Treasurer of TLCCA Arlington Affiliate
Jennifer McCoy is the Director of Learning Adventure Children’s Center. She has eighteen (18) years of experience as a teacher, director, and trainer in the childcare industry. She is a member of Texas Licensed Child Care Association and is the Treasurer of the Arlington Affiliate for the second year.
Jennifer joined our team in September of 1997. She has been recognized and won awards for consistently attaining excellence in this center. She focuses on the operation and instructional leadership at Learning Adventure Children’s Center. She ensures the academic programs are developed, provides educational resources for each classroom, and manages the daily activities within the facility. She conducts staff training consistently and uses innovative training ideas to keep staff up to date. She is very customer service oriented and focuses on staff training, staff retention, health & safety, and activities that will help develop the children who are in our care.
She is the proud mother of a daughter and a son and has been married for over twenty (20) years .
She is looking forward to building a program that fulfills academic and personal success for all children in our program. We are thrilled to have Jennifer as a part of our management team.
Michelle Thompson is the Assistant Director and operates our CACFP program. She has over seventeen (17) years of experience in the childcare industry. She is the Lead Cook.
Michelle joined our team in April of 1999. She focuses on our CACFP program and attains it at its highest standards. She ensures customer service satisfaction, while providing genuine care for staff, parents, and children. She focuses on the CACFP daily operations, while collaborating with the Director.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her mother and brother and loves playing with her two dogs Isabelle and Tink. She uses her creativity doing all types of arts and crafts, while continuing her passion for helping others. She strives for success of all children in our center and encourages management and staff to build a fulfilling academic program. We are excited to have Michelle as a part of our management team.
